Coordinated Care Provider with VNA & Hospice

When families on California’s Central Coast need skilled nursing care in their home, their physicians refer them to a home health service.  The non-profit Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, now celebrating 60 years of service to Monterey County, remains the region’s oldest and largest home health care agency, making over 75,000 annual home visits to patients in Monterey and San Benito Counties and the southern parts of Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties.

VNA & Hospice has expanded greatly since 1951, responding to local needs. Home Health and Hospice offices are now located in Hollister, Salinas, Monterey and King City.  The Adult Day Center is located in Monterey, and immunizations for flu, foreign travel and many other illnesses are available in VNA clinics. And today, in a time of Medicare cuts and real financial challenges to all health care organizations, the VNA Executive Management and Board of Directors work to ensure that the full scope of diverse Home Health services remain intact for our residents.

The expertise of VNA nurses and therapists in many areas of specialized Home Health Care, and their service to the highest acuity home care patients in our region, is unparalleled by any other local Home Health Agency. VNA has a very robust Cardiac Care Program, Registered Nurse Diabetes Educators, Wound Care Specialists, Orthopedic Rehab Specialists, Oncology, and a Home Palliative Care Program for those patients requiring comprehensive pain and symptom management while fighting diseases such as cancer and heart failure.

At Central Coast Senior Services, Inc., we are very proud to have been selected by the VNA as their Coordinated Care Provider for non-medical in-home care.

The Central Coast VNA & Hospice is licensed by the California Department of Health Services, is Medicare and Medi-Cal Certified.
